Mark your calendars because the award-winning TTRPG, Rivers of London, begins livestreaming this Friday. The game was published by Chaosium who is known for their other games Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest, and more. The game will be live on their Twitch streaming channel, also known as the Stream of Chaos.

Rivers of London is based off the popular urban fantasy novels by Ben Aaronovitch. The TTRPG won the ENNIE Silver-place award for Best Rules and was nominated for Product of the Year in 2023. In the game, players take on roles of new recruits of the London Metropolitan Police Service’s magic branch known as the Folly. Players get to solve mysteries, hunt down criminals, and deal with citizens who have been permanently changed by magic. In addition to a full party adventure, it also offers a solo adventure to give a new player introduction into the world and rules of the game.

The Rivers of London livestream will start on Friday May 24th 5pm PDT in North America, Saturday May 25th at 1am BST in Europe, and Saturday May 25th at 10am AEST in Australia. The games will be live on Twitch, and the episodes will later come to their YouTube channel.

Interested in playing this TTRPG for yourself? The introductory solo adventure is currently available as a free PDF. The game is available digitally on DriveThru RPG for $29.99. You can also purchase a hardcover with a PDF included for $59.99, or a special leatherette edition for $99.00. If you are a fan of Chaosium’s other games, then this game will flow easily because it uses the same basic rule system in place for Call of Cthulhu. This includes rules such as the use of d100s, using Luck, and getting Hard Successes.

Join in on the mystery this Friday during the Stream of Chaos!
