Triumphant Light Set And Ranked Play Coming To Pokémon TCG Pocket

While it has been a full month since we last got a Pokémon TCG Pocket expansion in the form of Space-Time Smackdown, On Pokémon Day the Pokémon Company confirmed Triumphant Light will be a brand-new mini set much like Mythical Island. While we only got a quick look at what cards will be featured, the crown jewel of this set will be that shiny new Arceus EX card.

Joining Arceus in the Triumphant Light set will be cards like Tyranitar, Abomasnow, Rotom, Raichu and Crobat. Along with new cards comes a new gameplay gimmick that’s called Link Abilities. According to the game’s developers, players will be allowed to play these cards alongside Arceus or Arceus EX to combine their special abilities.  But what made this announcement that much better was the fact that this set hits Pokémon TCG Pocket tomorrow, February 28th.

Some additional goodies and missions are also headed our way for the trainers out there looking to unlock any and every card. The special missions will be running from February 28th through March 27th, this is where trainers can unlock more Space-Time Smackdown packs. And if you happen to log in before April 30th, you can grab a special gift in the form of Genetic Apex booster packs that will have a guaranteed card that is a four-diamond rarity or higher.

Ranked battles is a long awaited addition to Pokémon TCG Pocket and that feature is set to debut at the end of March. Outside of that we weren’t given too many details but you can assume we will most likely learn more in the days leading up to its launch. And based on the sheer amount of cards being offered up to trainers this should be more than enough time to collect and craft your ideal deck for all the battles ahead.
