Free League Publishing has just released two new expansions for their Twilight 2000 TTRPG. This game is a retro-apocalyptic open-world RPG that follows the devastation of World War III. It was honored with a Best Roleplaying Game award at UKGE 2022. Now, the game gets two exciting expansions to lead you and your gaming party on more adventures.
Hostile Waters
Hostile Waters is a modular expansion meant for campaigns set in a marine environment. It comes in a boxed set that includes stats and rules for military watercrafts, new and dangerous factions, exciting new locations, and intriguing plots. The book is 104 pages. It also includes encounter cards, multiple battle maps, and tokens to represent boats and ships.
I always wanted to go on a boat, you know, before the war. The Black Madonna
This TTRPG expansion focuses on the famous Black Madonna of Częstochowa painting. Set in Poland, this campaign provides new weapons, new encounters, and mysterious secrets of the Black Madonna. The book is 72 pages and includes encounter cards, battle maps, and a travel map for the Silesia region.
When I was a kid, my best friend was named Donald Kaminski. I was over at his house for dinner once when his Great Aunt Lucja was visiting. She was this crazy lady from the old country who spoke hardly any English. After dinner, she gave me a little card with a picture on one side and printing on the other. I thought it was a Polish baseball card or something, but it was an old-time picture of Mary and the baby Jesus. Don’s dad said that it was a holy picture. He read the stuff on the back to me. It was all about the painting, which was called Our Lady of Częstochowa, and had all sorts of neat stuff about sieges and battles, and thieves being struck dead as they tried to steal the painting.
