Why does Palworld keep crashing?

We have seen so many games launch in a less-than-desirable state, but we always hope that doesn’t happen. In the case of Palworld, the game is in early access as of this writing, so you might expect some issues, but it’s still hard to stomach when you have to pay to play an unfinished game. If you are trying to play the game, you might have been forced out multiple times already. So, why does Palworld keep crashing?

Palworld keeps crashing

The short answer to why Palworld keeps crashing is that the game is not finished yet. The game is currently released in early access, so every time you start the game, you see a message stating that. Whenever you play a game like this, you can expect to see glitches, crashes, and poor performance. For Palworld, you have likely seen at least one case of all of those, whether you are playing on PC or Xbox.

Tips to stop Palworld from crashing on Steam

If you are playing Palworld on Steam and the game keeps crashing, we recommend doing the following:

  • Turn off anti-aliasing in Settings
  • Lower graphics settings
  • Update your drivers
  • Check the official system requirements
  • Uninstall and reinstall the game

Tips to stop Palworld from crashing on Xbox

If you are on Xbox and Palworld keeps crashing, things are a little more complicated. We recommend first uninstalling and reinstalling the game. If you are playing solo, make sure your world is not set to multiplayer. If you are playing with friends, you may want to consider playing solo for a bit as servers have been stressed in the early days of launch for the game.

Hopefully, one of the troubleshooting steps above helped you get Palworld to stop crashing. As stated above, the game is currently in early access so you can expect some issues now and then with the game. That doesn’t feel great if you put money down on it, but it is the reality we live in. Pocketpair is also a pretty unknown developer, so we will see how fast fixes are implemented to make the game run better.
