Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a very popular Soulslike that was recently released on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Many have stated that the game is well worth getting, but, as usual, there are plenty who are affected by some horrible bugs and a lack of optimization. Many who have downloaded the game on Steam have been bombarding the game with poor reviews due to issues such as lagging, stuttering, and crashing. The developer has officially made a statement about the issues plaguing Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and has shared information about future optimization and compensation.
Wuchang: Fallen Feather Optimization Statement
Earlier today, the developer of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers released a statement about the game’s optimization. In said statement, the developer listed various changes it will make to the game. These include:
- Fix crashes across different devices
- Improve frame rates and reduce lag on certain graphics cards
- Optimize default settings for some graphics cards
- Correct the speed of getting up after being knocked down
- Reduce damage and the number of some traps
- Lower impact resistance of certain low-level monsters
- Reduce exploration pressure in some areas
- Fix issues caused by missing items leading to quest interruptions
- Improve AI logic for monsters and bosses
- Enhance texture quality in low-resolution areas
- Improve asset detail and precision in some regions

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Developer Offers Compensation
As part of the statement, the developer said that it plans on giving compensation to those on Steam who have had trouble receiving the game’s pre-order bonuses. The compensation includes:
- Steam Deluxe Edition : in addition to the single costume as compensation, there will be 3 extra sets of Deluxe costumes + 4 weapons.
- Standard and Deluxe Editions holders will additionally obtain 3 headgear items across all platforms.
So those on Steam will be getting additional content to compensate for the issues and lack of pre-order bonuses. There is no guaranteed date for these changes and compensation, but they will be added soon.
