The Borderlands community has been waiting with bated breath, wondering what the price tag for Borderlands 4 will be. After all, the world of gaming is just getting more expensive. Earlier this month, the Nintendo Switch 2 was released with a $450 price tag, and many games are now reportedly going to be $80 going forward. These are scary times where the price of a game could make or break a company’s sales. Borderlands 4 has officially gone live on the digital storefronts for pre-order, and the price tag is a bit surprising. We also have confirmation of Vault Hunter DLC.

Borderlands 4 pre-orders start at $70

While much of the gaming community has been expecting an $80 price tag for Borderlands 4, the pre-order pages for the game show that the standard edition will be $70 at launch. There are three editions of the game, with the standard edition being the cheapest, the deluxe edition being in the middle at $100, and the super deluxe edition coming in at $130.

New Vault Hunters confirmed for Borderlands 4

Suppose you pay attention to all of the DLC packs that are listed in the Super Deluxe Edition pre-order for Borderlands 4. In that case, it does confirm that there will be two additional Vault Hunters added to the game as DLC after the initial release.

“Borderlands 4 Vault Hunter Pack consists of 2 separate post-launch DLC packs. The Vault Hunter Pack is included with Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition. The Vault Hunter Pack, and the individual DLC packs that make up the bundle, will also be available for separate purchase at launch (base game required). Exact release timings of each DLC pack to be announced at a later date and will be subject to change. Terms apply.“

There is no information currently about who the new Vault Hunters will be and whether or not they will be new to the series or possible returning characters that have yet to be playable.
