Best Podcast Game Award 2023

As much as we love getting engrossed in various video game worlds, there are times when you want to lose your mind in another media while playing your game. Just about everyone has a favorite podcast that they listen to while performing various tedious or repetitive tasks, but only certain games can let you enjoy both at the same time. Usually, these games have a lot of repetitive gameplay that doesn’t require much brainpower, and if there is a story, it’s not important enough that you have to pay attention to it. Here are the best games that were released in 2023 that you can mute and turn your brain off to while listening to a podcast.

The Nominees are…

  • Crash Team Rumble
  • Diablo 4
  • Pikmin 4
  • Starfield
  • Street Fighter 6

And the award goes to…

Diablo 4!

One of the best ways for a game to be good for playing while listening to podcasts is when it is a grind. With that said, there is no other video game in 2023 that is more of a grind than Diablo 4. While there is a story you can get engrossed in, it really has no impact on your gameplay. If you want, you can turn on an hour-long podcast and just complete various dungeons, collect all kinds of loot, and finish off all of your side quests.

While it may sound like a bit of an insult to call a game a grind or say its story doesn’t matter, in Diablo’s case, this fits into its niche. All players care about is making their created characters more powerful, and with this just being the beginning, there will be countless hours for you to lose in the game as expansions and new seasons come out. Diablo 4 is at its best when you are playing with friends, but even when you are solo, try muting the game and turning on a podcast to make time fly by.
