A pop-up in Forza Horizon 5 might have been accidentally scheduled a week early, prematurely revealing the release date of the upcoming Forza Horizon 6. While we haven’t been able to get the screen to appear for us (by this time, it could have been taken down), it seems that the game is set to release in early access on May 15, with the full release for everyone and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on May 19.
Is Forza Horizon 6 Releasing in May?
As stated above, we haven’t been able to find the same in-game pop-up as XBOXF10, so take this with a grain of salt, but since this post appeared on Twitter, we have seen various other outlets say they have heard similar information for the planned launch of the game.
If you are unaware, the Xbox Developer_Direct stream is scheduled for January 22, which is next Thursday, and Forza Horizon 6 is confirmed to be one of the big games heavily featured in that show. During that time, Playground Games will go deep into the new Japan map and likely show off a lot of new cars and features for the normal racing freak to lose their mind at.
So, if this screenshot is real, why is it appearing in Forza Horizon 5 now? It comes down to something as simple as it was either scheduled for the wrong time, maybe the Developer_Direct was originally supposed to happen today but was pushed back and the scheduled pop-up didn’t get delayed too, or maybe XBOXF10 witnessed a very lucky bug.
Whatever the reason, it appears that fans of one of the current top racing games don’t have to wait too much longer for Forza Horizon 6.
