Scalpers ruin everything when it comes to Pokémon. You’ve probably seen the stories of card packs being sold for far above the MSRP, or consumers charging into stores to snag every box set they can. Scalpers are now moving from the TCG to the newly announced Pokémon LEGO sets. Currently, the three sets that were announced are available for pre-order. These include the Kanto starter Pokémon (Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise), Eevee, and Pikachu.

However, there is a secret fourth set, which comes in the form of the Kanto Region Badge Collection, and it is a free gift whenever you purchase one of the traditional sets from the Pokémon Center. Unfortunately, scalpers are working hard to obtain these Pokémon LEGO sets, and they are already being posted to eBay.

Pokémon LEGO Sets Already Being Posted by Scalpers

At the time of writing this, the Kanto Starter Set is already sold out, but the Eevee and Pikachu LEGO sets are still available on the Pokémon Center website. Of course, there is no telling how much longer they will be available. With that being said, the sold-out set is already posted on eBay for far above its MSRP.

The standard MSRP for each set is as follows:

  • LEGO Pokémon Eevee – $59.99
  • LEGO Pokémon Pikachu & Poké Ball – $199.99
  • LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard, & Blastoise – $649.99

Two additional sets are available, with the first being the Kanto Region Badge Collection being given out with purchase from the Pokémon Center, and the second being a mini Pokémon Center, which is a LEGO Insider reward for 2,500 points.

If you thought these prices were high, a quick look on eBay reveals that scalpers are already anticipating the sets to sell out. Currently, the prices for these sets listed on eBay are:

  • LEGO Pokémon Eevee – $100 – $150
  • LEGO Pokémon Pikachu & Poké Ball – $300 – $500
  • LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard, & Blastoise – $800 – $1,000

On top of this, the Kanto Region Badge Collection, the free gift, is being posted for $300, and the Pokémon Center is being posted for $100. If you are interested in these sets, be sure to visit the Pokémon Center to see if they are still available.
