How to complete the Clearing the Road quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You’ve helped out Mulan and Mushu with plenty of tasks around camp. After this, the ground suddenly begins to shake and the road gets littered with rocks and tree branches. You can’t let it stay like this. You must clear the road of debris so the wagon can come through to pick up the dragon armor that you worked so hard on making. Deal with the landslide and continue with your training. Here is how to complete the Clearing the Raod quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Clearing the Road quest walkthrough

Before you get access to the Clearing the Road quest, you must first complete the prior quests for Mushu and Mulan. These include the Defender’s Training, The Dragon Army, and the New Recruit. With these quests complete, you will get a cutscene showing the landslide. Afterwards, follow Mushu and Mulan and then talk to them. After this, you will get the Protecting the Camp quest.

Protecting the Camp quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

For the Protecting the Camp quest, you will need to clear out the Sand Piles, Rocks, and Broken Logs from across the road. To do this, interact with the broken logs. This will pick them up. Use your pickaxe on the rocks to break them and use your shovel on the sand piles. You will also need to fish some of the logs out of the river.

Return to Mulan once you have cleared the road. She will give you some Tree Seeds. There are various holes that will appear around the realm. Interact with these holes to plant the Tree Seeds that Mulan gives you. Talk to Mulan once all of the Tree Seeds are planted and watered. She will then ask you to craft some Sandbags. These are made with Brown Sand that you got earlier in the quest and Fiber.

Talk to Mulan near the tents to place the sandbags. After this, go check on Mushu.

Continuing the Clearing the Road quest

With Mulan’s quest out of the way, Mushu will ask you to collect more Wooden Logs. These logs will most likely be in the water so you will need to fish them out. Use these logs to craft a Wooden Fence. Place the Wooden Fences near the mountain where the landslide happened and then talk to Mushu. You will now need to wait for the delivery to happen. While this is going on progress further with Mulan’s questline. This involves placing her home in the valley. Once that is done the Protecting the Camp quest will be complete.

Return to Mushu and he will ask you to find Mulan’s Key. This can be found near the wagons outside of the camp. Bring the key over to Mushu and then follow him to Mulan’s chest. Open the chest to get Mulan’s Surprise. Open it and you will get the Defender’s Sword. Go back to Dreamlight Valley and the quest will be complete.
