Whenever Devolver Digital Games publishes a new title, fans know it will be offbeat and unique. This fall, that game is Galvanic Games’ Wizard With a Gun, a sandbox survival game that has players tumbling around a futuristic fantastical Wild West. Armed with spells, guns, and time travel, every in-game Wizard With a Gun goes on their own unique journey to save these lands from dark, arcane mysteries. However, can you enjoy that journey with a friend? And if so, how many?
Does Wizard With a Gun Have Multiplayer?
Yes, Wizard with a Gun has Multiplayer. You can play the entire game and its story with exactly one friend. However, you cannot have more than one extra player in-game with you at a time, so your whole Discord will not be joining you for Wizard With a Gun.
With a friend on your side, you can execute even more complex spell combinations and clever combat angles. You’ll find it’s a lot easier to sharpshoot an enemy with more than one gunner on hand. That doesn’t mean the game will be easy with two people, though. Wizard With a Gun prides itself on its clever difficulty, so the NPC enemies will be prepared to react accordingly to two wizards.
While playing with a friend, you can both collect, craft, and upgrade the same bullets, weapons, and contraptions in your wizard tower. So, you will not have a limp Player 2 forced to play without half the game mechanics.
Is there a single-player mode in Wizard With a Gun?
If playing with a friend isn’t your style, you can indeed play Wizard With a Gun by yourself. The game and its story remain engaging and challenging regardless of how many people are playing. However, you might have a bit more trouble collecting as many resources as you want while under the timer of the various collapsing worlds.
