Healing Potions can become your lifeline in a game like Final Fantasy 16. While you can have the ever-reliable Torgal heal you in a pinch, using Potions will save you in dire situations. That said, Clive seems to be walking around with pretty small pockets. His potion inventory is very limited when you start the game. When you have too many on you, anytime you pick up a Potion on the ground, you will get a message saying it was used. If you’re at full health, this is just a waste. Luckily, you can improve your Potion carrying capacity. Here is how to carry more Potions in Final Fantasy 16.
How to get more Potions in FF16
To carry more Potions in Final Fantasy 16, you must complete two side quests: Weird Science and Weirder Science. To get the first side quest, you need to reach the Out of the Shadow main quest. When here, you will unlock Mid’s Dungeon at the Hideaway. Talk to Owain and do the Weird Science quest to be given the Treated Potion Satchel. This raises the number of Potions you can carry to the following:
- Potions – 6
- High Potions – 4
- Strength Tonics – 3
- Stonekin Tonics – 3
After beating Weird Science, you unlock Weirder Science after getting through the Across the Narrow main quest, also given by Owain. When completing this mission, you are given the Expanded Potion Satchel. Here are the increased Potions you can carry with it:
- Potions – 8
- High Potions – 5
- Strength Tonics – 4
- Stonekin Tonics – 4
Those are the only two situations where you are able to carry more Potions in Final Fantasy 16. There are other areas where you can increase the potency from them, so you should also consider taking advantage of those. Make sure to get the most out of your Potions so you have a better chance to survive any enemy encounter.
