Are you wondering how to get from point A to point B in Dead Island 2 the fast way without needing to run from area to area? Fast travel is a very common mechanic in games nowadays. If a game has multiple locations or a large map, you can bet that there will be fast travel in it. Just like other games, there is fast travel in Dead Island 2 but it isn’t in the most obvious area. You can actually go a while without realizing that there even is fast travel. This guide will show you how to fast travel in Dead Island 2.

How fast travel works in Dead Island 2

It is actually pretty easy to fast travel in Dead Island 2, but it isn’t very obvious. When you walk up to the exit of an area, the prompt will ask if you want to fast travel so it is pretty easy to think that fast travel might not actually exist. If you want to travel quickly from place to place, you need to wait until you complete the Halperin Hotel part of the game. Once you have two areas unlocked, you will be able to start fast traveling.

Each time you go to a new area, you will be able to find a map that looks like the one in the image above. When you come across one of these, you can interact with it to travel around the streets of Hell-A. There are 10 areas that you will unlock throughout the game from Bel-Air to Venice Beach. Interacting with the fast travel map also allows you to change the time. Before traveling to an area, you will get a prompt that asks you if you would like to be in the area during the day or night. Different interactions will happen depending on the time of day so make sure to travel to each area multiple times.
