If you want to get the Royal Hourglass in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to progress through the story of the expansion. You will automatically unlock the tool as part of the main storyline. Specifically, you need to complete the quest called the Flying Metal Nuisance.
The Flying Metal Nuisance quest is the first part of unlocking EVE in Disney Dreamlight Valley. During this quest, you will need to help out EVE by finding a robot suit, crafting her favorite meal, and doing a lot of talking. This quest will also require you to complete the other quest called Show Me a Sign so you can unlock Goofy’s Stall in Eternity Isle. After you have completed this quest, you will unlock the Royal Hourglass.
What is the Royal Hourglass used for in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
The Royal Hourglass tool is used to destroy the swirling sands around Eternity Isle. The Swirling Sands are mainly found around the Ancient’s Landing biome at the start of the DLC but can be found later on as well. There are more uses for the Hourglass that unlock as you make your way through the story.
Destroying the Swirling Sands with the Hourglass will get you the currency needed to unlock biomes in Eternity Isle. Of course, you will only get a small amount at a time so be sure to save it up.
