Pikmin 4 is the latest game in the Pikmin series. You play as a custom member of the Rescue Corp on the search for Olimar. The demo has launched and it covers a decent chunk of the game. Surprisingly, you can experience a good number of game mechanics and even unlock multiple Pikmin colors.
The demo begins with the team crash-landing on the same planet as Olimar. You now need to find the other crew members, repair your ship, and track down Olimar. You have the Pikmin at your side as well as the rescue dog Oatchi. How far can you expect to get into the game with the demo? How long is the Pikmin 4 demo?
Pikmin 4 demo length
If you have downloaded the Pikmin 4 demo, you can expect to play it for around three to four hours. While the demo is not extremely long, it does cover a decent amount of the game’s intro. The amount of time it takes you to complete the demo depends on how long it takes you to obtain the treasures needed to beat it.
In the demo, you will be tasked with collecting 1,500 Sparklium — the material obtained from treasures that are required to power the ship. Once you collect 1,500 Sparklium and finish the day, the demo will end. You can delay this a bit by not collecting the treasures around the map. Eventually, you will reach a point where you can no longer continue.
Don’t think that the demo is pointless. Those who decide to download the demo will have their progress carried over to the release of the full game on July 21. Throughout the demo, you will unlock the Red and Yellow Pikmin as well as discover a few of the other crew members that are needed to keep the ship running. Play through the demo and you will also be rewarded with items in Pikmin Bloom.
