The combat system in Stellar Blade opens you up to many different types of moves. You have everything from Beta Skills to special abilities like Blink and Aerial Dives. One of the best means of survival is through the use of the move called Repulse. This ability allows EVE to dodge fatal attacks and get increased attack power for a brutal counterattack. Mastering this move can save your life while you are exploring the remains of Earth so you best be prepared. Here is how to Repulse in Stellar Blade.

How to use the Repulse ability in Stellar Blade

Before you can use the Repulse ability, you first need to unlock it. This is done by gathering SP and using it to unlock the ability. Once you have one SP, go to a camp and select the Repulse ability from the skills menu. The ability can be found in the survival section of the menu. Since Repulse is such a cheap ability, you should have no problem unlocking it early.

Repulse is an ability that you can only activate when an enemy is about to use a fatal attack. These are telegraphed using reddish-purple auras when an enemy is about to attack. When you see this, a few moments later, EVE’s sword will spark with the same color.

When EVE’s sword flashes, hold back on the left stick and press the circle button. This will make EVE jump backward, dodging the attack in the process. This ability temporarily increases EVE’s ranged attack power and reveals the enemy’s weakness. If you have the gun equipped, use it to perform a strong counterattack and heavily damage the enemy that attacked you. Combine this with the use of the Blink ability to outmaneuver your foes without getting damaged in the process. Be sure to take this skill into new game plus as it will come in handy.
