How to get past the rising sludge in The Depths of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

As you make your way toward the top of the Tower of Silence, you will be made familiar with the Fabric of Time ability, but this trip is more than a simple climb. At one point, you will come across a door with a tablet in front of it, letting you know that you need to activate three gongs to open the door. Like other areas of the game, it is pretty easy to get lost here. Don’t worry, though; we are here to help. Here are the three gong locations in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.

Where to find the three gongs in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

Getting to the three gong locations in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will take a little bit of platforming and combat, but it’s nothing too terrible.

First gong

The first one is pretty close but easy to miss if you are not paying close enough attention. Use the Fabric of Time on the anchor points above the tablet and the door to propel yourself upward towards a Wak Wak Tree to save your game and heal. From here, go straight up, and to the left of the landing is a room you can slide into. All of the gongs are in rooms that you slide into like this.

When you get in here, you have to defeat a couple of ice knights. Do so, and then hold your Fabric of Time ability on the anchor point to activate the first gong. When that is done, don’t forget to activate the fast travel statue that is outside the room and straight up.

Second gong

For the second gong, return to the door and drop through the floor in front of it. Go all the way down until you have to fling yourself across some anchor points. On the far side, activate your Shadow of Simurgh ability under the platform and pull it down to teleport yourself on top of it. Keep following the path as you get through various platforming areas and defeat more enemies, and you will come across the gong at the location in the screenshot below.

Third gong

The final gong location is found by going back to the door and using the anchor points to get to the Wak Wak Tree again. From here, you will have more tricky platforming. In this first area, the trick is to hang onto the ladder on each wall, slide down to the bottom, and dash to the right when you clear the wall. Use the anchor point on the other side to give yourself height again.

On the other side, get past the ice knight and make your way down along the path where the giant ice boulders are falling. Keep making your way down, and eventually, you will find a bridge you can pull down. That is your way out of here. Instead, drop down through the floor, and you will be attacked by a group of enemies, including two big guys with hammers. Defeat them and the last gong is on the other side of the room at the below location.

Once all three gongs have been activated in no particular order, return to the door and it will open for you. In our game, it took it a bit to actually open, but try running into it and attacking it to get it going.
