It’s BEAN a while since we have last talked about the game that took many by surprise when a full trailer was revealed at Summer Games Fest 2024. What game? You might ask. Well, it is none other than Killer Bean. The most bean-tastic game that was set to hit early access sometime in 2025. The trailer was full of laughs, shadow organizations, and epic slow-mo shots, and it was enough to get a ton of people interested in the title. Unfortunately, development on the game is halting due to harassment and IP infringement.
Killer Bean Development on Hiatus Until Further Notice
Killer Bean is one of those games that is hard to believe. When it was revealed at Summer Games Fest 2024, it took many people by surprise, despite it being set on roast for a few years and simmering in the pot. Now, the creator has announced that they will be “taking time off from game development” to deal with some serious issues. These issues are related to harassment and IP infringement from a fan account.
The post from @Real_KillerBean on X mentions a fan account that “has been infringing on [the creator’s] IP for his own personal profit.” The creator went on to say that they “found out he is harassing other Killer Bean fans,” and is “collecting evidence of harassment.”
The harassment is connected to a Killer Bean Crypto Coin that has been tradable since early 2024. The fan account in question posts regularly about the Crypto Coin and who has BEAN messaging other users about the currency.
Jeff Lew, the creator of Killer Bean, previously posted about the Crypto scam. In February 2024, Lew shared information about the Killer Bean cryptocurrency, saying there would never be an official coin or NFT, and telling everyone “they are all scams.”
