We would like to start off by saying happy birthday to Fallout 4! This great game holds a spot in the hearts of many fans. It is the game that introduced the crafting system to Fallout and gave us a glimpse of what happened to Boston when the bombs dropped. Unfortunately, while Bethesda shared memorable moments from the game, the Fallout 4 next-gen update topic has been ignored.

If you haven’t heard, fans have been obsessing over the next-gen update for Fallout 4, or the lack-there-of. The developer announced it would be releasing a next-gen update for Fallout 4 in 2022, but no further updates have been given.

Today we wish a very happy birthday to #Fallout 4! Here are some of our most memorable early-game moments from when we first left Vault 111.

Earlier, Bethesda shared some heartwarming memorable moments from Fallout 4 on the official Fallout X account. These images cover various moments players had during the first few hours of gameplay after leaving Vault 111. They include meeting the Minutemen, finding Dogmeat at the Red Rocket, going to Diamond City, and walking out into Sanctuary.

While these moments are ones that fans will never forget, they didn’t forget to remind Bethesda about the lack of Fallout 4 next-gen update news. “So does this mean next-gen version coming soon?” asked one commenter. Another stated, “They’re hoping we’ll stop asking and forget they said it would happen this year,” in response.

Some fans did share their own memories from Fallout 4, with one sharing their hatred toward Preston and how he never shuts up. Other fans have given up on asking about the next-gen upgrade and have instead resorted to asking about Fallout 5. With how many times Bethesda has re-released Skyrim, it is shocking that Fallout 4 has not seen another release.
