Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally getting Belle and Beast

In celebration of the Dustbey Dreamlight Valley’s one-year anniversary, the developers finally announced that Belle and Beast will appear in the valley in the next update. This iconic pair will join the likes of other new additions to the game since its release last year such as the Fairy Godmother, Vanellope, and even Stitch.

While there have been many new features added to the game over the course of its early access release, many have been wondering why Belle and Beast haven’t appeared. This is mainly due to the fact that Belle appeared in the promotional images and trailer for the game early on, leading many to believe she would be in the game from day one.

Happy one year anniversary! Celebrate with us by getting your Valleys ready to welcome two new special guests later this month 🌹✨

Gameloft made the announcement that the characters would be joining the valley as part of the one-year anniversary celebration on September 6, 2023. The next update will be coming later in September and officially be called the Enchanted Adventure update.

There was no other information given about what the update might hold but it will for sure include a new story centered around the titular characters from Beauty and the Beast. The promotional art for the game does appear to show the classic castle belonging to Beast, which will undoubtedly be their home when they arrive later this month. It looks like many fans of the game will need to create space for yet another castle in the valley. Hopefully, this one doesn’t take up as much space as Mirabel’s massive abode.

Along with the castle, the background also seems to show some new items near Mother Gothel, suggesting we may be seeing some new fall decor and Halloween items making their way to the valley just in time for the holidays. Whatever the next update has, it is sure to be a welcome sight for those who are still playing the game a year later.
