Many Disney Dreamlight Valley players didn’t know who Oswald was before the latest update but they know now and they can’t get enough of him. Oswald has become a sensation since players have unlocked him in the Rift in Time expansion. Not only is he the most unique resident, but he is also the most fun to hang out with. This is largely due to his animations and playful nature mixed with his faithful 1920s dialogue. Some players have even been lucky enough to see him perform some special interactions they didn’t know were in the game.
User Emotional_Spring_884 posted one of Oswald’s special interactions on the Disney Dreamlight Valley Reddit page. In the video, you can see Oswald walk over to one of the rock spots and start hitting it with his own black and white pickaxe before pulling a diamond out of the rubble. No other villager has a special interaction such as this and it is just one reason that players love him.
One user stated that “Oswald is a fantastic addition to the Valley” and that they “love that plucky little dude.” Another user said “I love him so much. His quests have been so fun so far too!” Oswald’s quests such as Erratic Transportation have some wild interactions that make us wish that more residents had fun questions like this.
SkyeMcFlye on Reddit posted a meme saying “I’ve only had Oswald a day and a half, but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room.”
So many residents have been quick to love Oswald and it is easy to see why. He has the most unique design of any of the villagers that makes him look like he was pulled from a cartoon. On top of that, he has special interactions that make other villagers look dull and lifeless. If anything, this shows that Gameloft needs to step up its game with future residents.
