If there is one thing that Dragon’s Dogma 2 players can agree on it’s that Pawns love to jump off cliffs. They love it so much that it has become a meme, spreading like wildfire. That’s right the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Pawns love to jump off cliffs and they don’t care who knows it. We first discovered this trend in our own game when our Main Pawn tackled an enemy off a cliff and the other two followed shortly after.

In a post on Reddit, user zMilad captured the Pawns’ stupidity perfectly as they descend a cliff only for their Pawns to dive down to the bottom. Two of them nearly die in the process while one actually does go down and needs saving. We aren’t sure if this is because of an error in coding or perhaps the Pawns just love staring death in the face. Either way, it sure is amusing to watch.

One user commented stating, “Hopefully, in the first update we can get some tweaks to make them less go happy and more reserved in their pursuit to keep up.” We agree. It would be nice to see the Pawns less willing to go cliff-diving and more focused on their own safety. Another user commented with some great advice to stop your Pawns from being daredevils. They stated, “I tell my pawns to wait, then I get a good distance away from them, across whatever obstacle. Then I direct them back to me. Usually they either teleport closer to me, or suddenly they can make it around the obstacle safely.” Keep this in mind the next time you are out exploring the world.

Others were quick to share some memes to get the ball rolling on the new trend. Rather than continue with the story, here are some of the favorites that we came across while looking at the Reddit Page.
