If you are among the many veterans who still play Fallout 76 years after its release, you have probably noticed an increase in new players. Thanks to the Fallout TV show’s success and the game being free on Prime Gaming, many are now giving Fallout 76 a chance. With that being said, it is a pleasant surprise to see that many veterans have been welcoming these newbies in with open arms and plenty of gifts. In return, the new players are sharing their thanks via Reddit threads and purchasing items from those looking to trade.
Reddit user andstlich33 posted about their gift-giving spree on the official Fallout 76 Reddit page. They are happy about the number of new vault dwellers leaving Vault 76 for the first time and experiencing Appalachia and so are several other veteran players.
In response to their friendly nature, one user commented, “Thanks for the warm welcome! After putting off 76 for years, I just took the plunge yesterday. Loving it so far!” Another user in the thread mentioned that they’ve “watched a few streamers play it for the first time.” It is amazing to us that there are streamers who are just not picking up this title years after its initial release.
Other veteran players have been sharing some advice with the new dwellers. For instance, one user posted “If a high-level comes over, stands there for a second, then points at a bag on the ground, its free stuff for you!” Another commented letting players know “Don’t activate events until at least a few people show up.” This will hopefully stop a few newer players from getting killed while trying to farm items and caps.
One of our biggest tips for new players is to understand how to start the game. Right away, you will be asked if you want to start as a fresh dweller or a battle-ready dweller. Make this choice wisely.
