It is never fun being kicked from a mission in Helldivers 2. Many players kick others for no reason other than they don’t want to deal with another Helldiver in their lobby. When you manage to stay in a game, you don’t want to jeopardize your standing with the host. That is why there is one thing that you should never do. Completing this act will lead to you getting kicked 100% of the time and many players agree. The basic rule of thumb here is to not be a traitorous scumbag and instead work with your team.
This is the message sent by bekkison on Reddit who posted about their recent experience. After posting about it, thousands of other users gave the upvote of approval and backed them on their statement. In the post, bekkison said the random player they were with, “Killed me, the host, and proceeded to jump on the transport alone.” This happened at the end of the mission as other Helldivers were taking time to collect samples. As they flew off alone, bekkison decided to kick the traitorous player and for good reason too.
Mant replaying saying, “Ok, that’s actually a proper motive to kick.” Others repeatedly called the kicked player names to show that they clearly weren’t being friendly to the host who kicked them. Some even recounted the times that they were forced to kick someone.
There were multiple reasons that came up to show when the proper time to kick someone is but these were the most common:
- When someone goes AFK for more than five minutes without communicating
- A player actively shoots you at the end
- The player refuses to act friendly and let others enjoy the game
- If they don’t participate in the objective
- If a player blows through all of your reinforcements
Avoid doing any of these and you should be fine. There are many reasons to kick your fellow Helldivers from a game but don’t do it at random. Instead, be a team player and fight for democracy together.
