One game you may not have heard about in a while is Lies of P. Released back in September 2023, this title is a twisted souls-like version of Pinocchio that took the souls-like community by storm. Many loved the original take on the classic tale combined with the Dark Souls formula and developers Neowiz and Round 8 Studios ensured the experience was as enjoyable as ever. Well, it looks like Lies of P is officially getting DLC a year and a half after its initial release date. Not only that, but the next game the development team is making is reportedly a Sci-Fi survival horror title.

Lies of P has not been mentioned for some time but according to the Korean site EBN, the game will be getting DLC “in the first quarter of next year.” There is currently no information on what the DLC will contain but we imagine it could be a new location along with various new weapons and outfits. After all, it has been well over a year since the game was released and the team has had plenty of time to work something out.

According to EBN, Lies of P “left a strong impression on the global stage with its high-level gameplay.” It sold over two million copies worldwide which is an amazing achievement for an indie title such as this. Due to the success of Lies of P, Round 8 Studios recruited Director Seungho Jin, who developed Buried Stars at Line Games, and Director Sanggyun Lee, who developed Mabinogi Heroes.

Along with this, Round 8 Studios made an announcement about its next work stating it is a “survival horror project set in a SF [sci-fi] world.” According to a Neowiz official, “It is too early to disclose the progress of the project.” Since the game is not far into development, we don’t imagine there will be an official announcement for the upcoming sci-fi horror title soon but if it is anything like Lies of P, we are already excited.
