With May right around the corner, you can expect the next Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2 to be dropping soon. After all, Arrowhead has a quota to keep up when it comes to Warbonds. With the release of the next Warbond closing in, the main image for it appears to have been leaked on Reddit. In a rather chilling change from the previous Warbond, Democratic Detonation, the devs seem to be going back to the ice age or maybe Hoth? Here is a look at the next Helldivers 2 Premium Warbond.
The image for the next Warbond was posted to Reddit by user Hot_Neck5396. They say that the next Warbond will be called Polar Patriots. Just like with previous Warbonds, this one looks like it will be three pages of gear, guns, and armor, all themed after the icy-planet aesthetic.
As with previous Warbonds, we can expect to get more emotes and capes along with the items mentioned above. The weapons in the image appear to be an assault rifle, SMG, and what we hope could be a freeze-ray. Instead of rocking a Flamethrower, we would love to get our hands on a powerful freezing gun that can turn enemies to ice.
We are not the only ones that are hoping for a freeze-ray. One user commented on the post saying, “That weapon on the left looks interesting, I wonder what it could be. Some kind of freeze ray perhaps?” Another user pointed out that, “Spitz has said all the stuff for the next Warbond just got added in preparation, so we should see leaks of everything soon.”
One thing that has been on our minds since seeing the post is that it looks similar to another franchise. Each of these pieces of armor has us giddy to watch Star Wars again because they remind us of the battle on Hoth but with different colors. More ice planets please Arrowhead!
