Palworld has become a massively popular game almost overnight. With a theme that reminds everyone of “Pokémon with guns,” it is easy to see what first drew everyone in. What was first thought of as a “meme game” has exploded into an extremely popular title with over a million players. That’s right, we said over ONE MILLION PLAYERS. Now, developer Pocketpair is warning that Epic Online Service is currently experiencing outages because too many people are playing the game.

Pocketpair recently announced the massive success of its game on X by posting about how it reached over three million copies sold in only 40 hours. It doesn’t stop there, the game also has overtaken Cyberpunk 2077 as the game with the most concurrent players on Steam with a peak of just over 1.1 million. Currently, there are over 1.3 million Pal Tamers searching for Pals and surviving on Palpagos Island. Of course, not everything is all sunshine and rainbow or Chikipis and Lamballs.

Server Outage Notice:

As the number of concurrent players across all platforms exceeded 1.3 million, the Epic Online Service is currently experiencing outages due to an unusually high load worldwide.

Singleplayer is unaffected by this server outage.

PocketPair stated on the official Palworld X page that players have started experiencing server outages thanks to the number of people currently online. With the Epic Online Service crashing due to the strain of keeping so many players online.

PocketPair is aware of the issue and is working on keeping the servers stable. Hopefully, this issue won’t affect too many people but it is impossible to say how many will be affected by it. These issues will affect those trying to play co-op, anyone on official servers, and those who own their own server. Understandably, those playing single-player won’t be affected.

If you want to remain in the loop about server issues, be sure to follow the Palworld X page or join the official Discord server. Here, PocketPair shares information about the server issues and what you can expect. Hopefully, all the Palworld server outages will die down and everyone can go back to surviving on Palpagos Island in peace.
