There is no denying that Palworld has suddenly skyrocketed in popularity. This game, affectionately labeled “Pokémon with guns,” blew up overnight and the devs are a little excited, to say the least. If you haven’t seen it already, Palworld managed to sell one million copies in only eight hours. Well, the developers have a few more accomplishments to celebrate.
Let’s start off with the first two accomplishments. First, the devs announced on the official Palworld X page that Palworld has become the most-played and top-selling game in the world at the same time. This comes from the Steam statistics where Palworld is showing up Counter-Strike 2 when it comes to current players with a peak of over 700,000 players in one day.
We think it is safe to say that nobody saw Palworld becoming as popular as it did. The next announcement from developer PocketPair celebrated Palworld selling over two million copies in 24 hours. That is insane for an indie title and very rare. We would definitely like to congratulate PocketPair on the amazing achievement.
Just like with the first two announcements, PocketPair shared the announcement on X. If you haven’t already joined the craze, let us catch you up on what you’ve missed. Palworld is a monster-catching survival game that allows you to capture various monsters called Pals to help you survive on Palpagos Island.
The pals that you catch can help you around your base by collecting items like wood, ores, and stone. They can also help you craft items from bows and shields to machine guns and beyond. While many expected the game to be a farce or a cash grab, they were shocked to discover that Palworld is, in fact, a real game and better than anyone could have imagined.
To top it all off, Palworld also managed to sell three million copies in just 40 hours. We don’t know what will happen in the future but it looks like it will go far.
