Palworld is an interesting monster-catching survival game that gives you the ability to capture creatures called Pals. That makes knowing how to catch Pals one of the most important mechics to master.
At the start of the game, you will have some great starter Pals that you can track down. Capturing these Pals is a great way to start your journey in Palworld and a great means of getting used to the catching system. This guide will show you how to catch Pals in Palword.
How to craft a Pal Sphere in Palworld
Before you can start catching Pals, you need to build a Pal Sphere. This is a special tool that lets you capture wild Pals. The Pal Sphere becomes available after reaching level two and unlocking it in the crafting menu via your Technology Points. To make a Pal Sphere, you need the following items:
- 1x Paldium Fragment
- 3x Wood
- 3x Stone
Once you have each of these ingredients, you can use them to craft a Pal Sphere. You can also find Pal Spheres in the world as well so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for them.
How to capture Pals in Palworld
Now that you have a Pal Sphere, let’s break down how to catch a Pal. PocketPair released a tutorial video on this subject as well. To catch a Pal, you need to weaken it first by using some form of weapon. This weapon can be a bow, gun, bat, or even your fists. Whatever you want to use to weaken the Pal as much as possible without knocking it out.
Weaken the Pal to the point where its health is red. Once done, throw a Pal Sphere at it. You will see the capture rate appear. The weaker a Pal, the greater the capture rate will be when you first throw the sphere. It is important to get its health as low as possible.
As the capture rate increases, be sure to stick near the Pal Sphere in case the Pal breaks free and you need to either weaken it more or try again. Once the capture rate hits 100%, the Pal will be caught and you can officially use it to help you survive. Congratulations!
