In Palworld, you are tasked with capturing monsters known as Pals and using them to help you survive in the world. These Pals each have their own abilities. Palworld Pal types explained
Pals in Palworld do have types. Depending on what Pals you catch, you will have access to different move types. For instance, Foxparks is a flame-type Pal and Jolthog is an electric-type Pal. The following types are featured in the game:
- Neutral
- Flame
- Electric
- Ground
- Dragon
- Dark
- Grass
- Water
- Frost/Ice
As you can see, there are a good number of Pal types that you can encounter in the world. Depending on the type, Pals can learn different skills.
You can see a Pal’s type in the Pal Status menu. You can also see the different skill types that the Pal has learned. Anubis, for instance, is a ground-type Pal. In the image above, it knows a neutral and a ground-type move.
Can Pals have multiple types?
Yes. Some Pals can have multiple types. For instance, Relaxasaurus Lux is a dragon and electric-type Pal. Warsect is another Pal with multiple types. It is a grass and ground-type Pal.
What can different Pal types do?
Depending on the type of Pals you have, they can perform different actions around your camp. For instance, electric Pals can be used to charge machinery. Fire-type Pals can be used to create fire for camp and cooking.
What are Pal variants?
Different Pal variants can be found throughout the game. The following variants of Pals can be found:
- Alpha Pals – Massive Pals with special titles that also count as world bosses
- Lucky Pals – Stronger Pal variants that appear rarely in the wild and have a glowing aura
- Fusion Pals – Special Pals created by breeding two different Pals together
