Nuketown has officially made its way back to Call of Duty with the release of the new version of the map in Black Ops 6. Alongside the release of this map, Treyarch went ahead and included a double XP weekend for everyone to grind out levels and upgrade their weapons on a fan-favorite map. Unfortunately, thanks to a bug, much of the XP players were supposed to get was not awarded. Thankfully, Treyarch has identified the issue and it has been fixed.
The issue was discovered by multiple players on Friday night as they noticed they were not receiving the correct amount of XP while grinding out multiplayer matches. Multiple posts such as the one below made by GodProbablyKnows on Reddit, were made to bring awareness to the issue. Some noted that they were getting over 100 kills in a game only to be rewarded with minimal XP.
Treyarch became aware of the issue last night and posted about it on the official Treyarch X page. Thankfully, it did not take long for the developers to figure out what was wrong and release a hotfix to help with the issue. Around mid-day eastern time on Saturday, a small hotfix was released that fixed the issue. Treyarch made another post about the issue that reads, “Update: Last night we addressed an issue that occasionally limited the amount of 2XP awarded to some players.”
Because of the issue that unfolded Friday night, Treyarch has decided to extend the double XP weekend. The post states, “As a result, we are extending 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X GobbleGum earn rate until Nov. 5th, at 10am/PT.” This means players are getting an extra day of double XP weekend for Black Ops 6. Make sure to use it wisely so you can level up your weapons and grind out all the camos.
