Bloodborne is one of the most popular games that FromSoftware has ever made. This PlayStation 4 exclusive had Souls fans enamored at launch, and they continue to talk about how amazing the game is to this day, several years later. With that being said, the Souls community has begged for a sequel to this cosmic horror masterpiece, and FromSoftware has yet to oblige. More so, fans of the game have asked for a Bloodborne Remake, and it seems as though it will never come to fruition, as a report claims that there is no progress on a remake or remaster to this day.
Bloodborne Remake/Remaster is not in the Works
Jeff Grubb recently spoke about the potential of a Bloodborne Remake or Remaster, and the words were not what Souls fans were hoping for. “Nothing is happening with Bloodborne, so don’t expect that.” In other words, those who have been begging for a Remake, Remaster, or sequel to Bloodborne should just give up for the time being, as it is unlikely that there will ever be anything involving the game.
Bloodborne is often mentioned by the Souls community any time Sony or From Software makes a move. When Sony revealed the PlayStation 30th anniversary trailer a while back, it ended with a clip of Bloodborne, causing fans to start spouting theories about a sequel or remake coming. Unfortunately, this was nothing more than Sony advertising a popular game that had been released on its platforms.
It was also revealed a while back that FromSoftware’s parent company Kadokawa is working on 26 titles, with 20 of them being console releases. This was mentioned before the reveal of Nightreign and Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive titled The Duskbloods. With that being said, 18 more titles are still unknown at this time, so it is possible that FromSoftware could be keeping something hidden, but it is very unlikely that it has anything to do with Bloodborne.
