Square Enix has some extremely popular IPs, with many gamers all over the world able to recognize games like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Octopath Traveler. The company is known for its wild fantasy games and Disney crossovers. This spring, it will be venturing into slightly familiar territory as it opens another official Square Enix branded cafe and shop. Imagine being able to try drinks inspired by Seventh Heaven in Final Fantasy 7, or getting a taste of Sea Salt Ice Cream from Kingdom Hearts.

Square Enix is no stranger to various business ventures, as the company is also known for publishing manga like Soul Eater, selling various merchandise and collectibles, and even creating various CGI movies based on its IPs.

Official Square Enix Cafe Opening This Spring

Square Enix announced it will be opening an official cafe this spring. Currently, all that is known about the cafe is that it will be opened in two locations, with one being Los Angeles and the other being Shinjuku, Tokyo.

“The cafe spaces will offer menu items inspired by multiple SQUARE ENIX IPs, while the adjoining shop spaces will carry a wide selection of official merchandise. This marks the first time an official SQUARE ENIX cafe offering a full, authentic menu will open in the U.S. Both Cafe & Shop locations will be must‑visit destinations for all SQUARE ENIX fans.”

Each location will also feature a shop dedicated to official Square Enix merchandise. Additional details will be revealed at a later date, but this is not Square Enix’s first jump into the food market. Previously, Square Enix partnered with Pasela Resorts to open Eorzea Cafe – a Final Fantasy XIV-inspired cafe in Chiyoda City. The company also ran a Square Enix Cafe in Akihabara, Tokyo, which was closed down in 2025 after nine years in operation.

The new cafe is sure to be a hotspot for fans of Square Enix IPs, such as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. We are excited to see what types of meals will be offered at the locations.
