Grand Theft Auto VI is undoubtedly the most anticipated game of 2026, but there have been some controversies surrounding the title. The biggest controversy is the choice by Rockstar Games to only release a digital version of GTA VI. This has angered many fans, especially the crowd who wish to preserve physical media. It seems that Rockstar isn’t completely against physical media, as the team has announced the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. This compilation of songs from the game will be available on Spotify and other music streaming platforms in the future. However, the big news is that it will also feature a physical CD and Vinyl record.
GTA VI: The Album Will Release Physically
Rockstar Games has officially announced that Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album will be released on November 19, 2026, alongside the upcoming game. The album will feature 34 original songs from various artists, such as Travis Scott, Yung Lean, and Morgan Wallen.
However, the main focus of this announcement is that Rockstar will also be releasing a CD and vinyl record for the album. An ironic announcement, considering the development studio’s aversion to physical media lately.
The album can be purchased on the GTA VI website and has three different prices, with the cheapest being the standalone CD priced at $20. Those who want the standard vinyl will need to pay $50, and the limited edition version of the vinyl costs $125.
Alongside the announcement, six of the songs from the album were made available to stream on platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music. The released songs are:
