GTa 6 Prologue Leak

Since August 18th, an anonymous leaker going by the name of Cyberleek has been releasing various clips of gameplay footage from Grand Theft Auto 6. At first, many thought the leaker simply got their hands on some older gameplay footage, but that changed when they released a clip revealing they had a full build of the upcoming game. The massive blow to Rockstar has reportedly tanked company morale, along with the company’s stock price. Until now, the leaks posted by Cyberleek have focused on gameplay, with most of them showcasing Jason walking, driving, or flying around the city. However, the most recent leak has officially escalated the game, as the leaker has unveiled at least part of the GTA 6 prologue.

Cyberleek Leaks the GTA 6 Prologue

A few days ago, Cyberleek asked their audience if they would like to see the prologue for GTA 6. Since then, the leaker has posted more gameplay clips, with a recent one showing around five seconds’ worth of a cutscene at the end. With the GTA 6 Netflix event scheduled for tomorrow, August 27th, many have questioned if Cyberleek would escalate the leaks.

The leaker has indeed escalated things by releasing at least part of the GTA 6 prologue involving Lucia. This is a big step up for the leaker, and one that will undoubtedly come with some backlash.

The posted video is around 4 minutes and 30 seconds in length and shows Lucia in prison. That is all we will say so as not to go into spoiler territory. Accompanying the video, the leaker has on-screen text saying, “This build is actually recent, and the game is not ready at all.” The leaker also calls out Sony and Rockstar for “killing your right to own and resell your games.” This is, of course, in reference to Rockstar choosing to make GTA 6 digital-only, and Sony’s move to stop production of physical media in 2027.

Along with this, the text reads, “Rockstar is killing their own employees too. The work required to reach gold is way too much for so little time left.” So far, the gameplay showcased by the leaker has looked good, making some question how the game is unfinished. Still, there has been no official statement from Rockstar saying that GTA 6 has gone gold, and many games have been known to release with substantial issues.
