If you want to have any hope of surviving long in Call of Duty Zombies, you know you will often need to rely on the Pack-a-Punch machine. By spending points, you can greatly increase the damage your weapons do to help you tear through enemies, whether common undead or mini-bosses. That reliance has made this a staple feature in the mode for over a decade, and that doesn’t look to end anytime soon. The new mode is changing quite a lot, but does Modern Warfare 3 Zombies have the Pack-a-Punch machine?
Is the Pack-a-Punch machine in MW3 Zombies?
Yes, Modern Warfare 3 Zombies has the Pack-a-Punch machine, and for the most part, it works similarly to how you are used to it performing. The first time you go to Pack-a-Punch a weapon, it will cost 5,000 points, followed by 10,000 for the second, and 15,000 for the final upgrade. However, getting these other tiered upgrades can’t be done on any machine.
In MW3 Zombies, the difficulty is not handled by which round you have made it to. Instead, your location on the map denotes the difficulty of the enemies in that area. As you move closer to the center of the map, things get tougher on a three-tiered scale. These tiers also decide how many times you can use the Pack-a-Punch machine for your weapons within those tiers.
- If you are on the outer edges of the map, you are in the tier 1 difficulty area, and each weapon can only be used once in a Pack-a-Punch machine in these limits.
- Pack-a-Punch machines can upgrade your weapons twice as you enter the second-tier circle.
- Making it into the third tier towards the center of the map will allow you to upgrade your weapons at the Pack-a-Punch machine fully.
By Modern Warfare 3 Zombies putting in this Pack-a-Punch limitation, you won’t necessarily be plowing through Zombies the entire time, depending on where you are on the map. You will be forced to be mindful of your current status as you work through each circle and gather more loot.
