Original story below.
Unfortunately, Spider-Man 2 does not have a new game plus at launch. However, while that is the case currently, Insomniac is planning on adding it at some point in a free update. We don’t have a confirmed date, but Insomniac Games has said that the current plan is to patch the game with new game plus in early 2024.
We don’t currently know all of the features of Spider-Man 2’s upcoming new game plus mode, but usually, these things are unlocked upon completing the main story at least once. When activated, you can expect to start the story over with all of your unlocked skills, gadgets, suits, and level that you ended your first playthrough with. If it is like other games, the difficulty will be increased as well.
While plenty of people will play Spider-Man 2 just once and call it quits, there are others who want more out of their game. That is where new game plus comes in. It doesn’t necessarily add new content, but you can challenge your abilities while not having to go back through the process of leveling up.
Of course, until Insomniac officially talks about Spider-Man 2 new game plus, we only have guesses. Hopefully, it will talk about the feature soon and give a date for when to expect it. We will update this article when we have more information.
