Will Spider-Man 2 come to PC in the future? This may be the second main-line title but it is actually the third game in the series with both Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales preceding it. Both of the previous titles were PlayStation exclusives with the first coming to PS4 and the second coming to PS4 and PS5. Later on, however, both games eventually found their way to PC on the Steam store.
Since both of the previous titles ended up on the Steam store and are available for purchase, could the same happen to Spider-Man 2? We know that it is a PS5-exclusive title but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t get ported over. Will Spider-Man 2 come to PC?
Spider-Man 2 – Will there be a PC port?
We believe there will be a PC port of Spider-Man 2 in the future but it has not been confirmed yet by Insomniac Games or Sony. The previous games in the series were both released on PC but it took some time for them to come to the platform.
The original Spider-Man game on PS4 and PS5 took about four years to get a PC port available on Steam. For Spider-Man: Miles Morales, this took roughly two years. Considering the time frame of these, we probably won’t see a PC port of Spider-Man 2 for about one or two years.
Odds are that Sony Interactive Entertainment will release a full port in the coming years if the game does well enough on PS5. There is a chance that it would not be as popular as past titles because it is a next-gen exclusive game. Since not as many individuals have access to a PlayStation 5, we could see less sales of the newest Spider-Man game, prompting Sony to wait longer to port the game to PC.
