Fallout 76 is seeing a recent resurgence after the debut of the Amazon television series based on the franchise. After years of content and improvements, everyone is getting a second look at a game that unquestionably had a rough launch years ago. Now, with more people playing the game than ever, server issues are popping up. Here is how to know if Fallout 76 is down and check the server status.
Is Fallout 76 down?
As of this writing, everything is running smoothly for Fallout 76. If you are experiencing any issues, be sure to try checking and resetting your internet and making sure you are playing with the most up-to-date version of the game. If you are on PC and have mods on, be sure to check that they are updated as well.
How to check Fallout 76 server status
The best way to see how Fallout 76 is currently performing is to see the Bethesda.net Status Portal. This page has an up-to-date status for all of Bethesda’s live service games, including Fallout 76. If there is a green circle next to the game, everything is showing fine on the server side. An orange triangle means partial outage, and a red X means the game is completely down currently. If, instead of those symbols, you see a wrench, that means that Fallout 76 is currently undergoing maintenance and will be back up within a few hours.
If you don’t trust the linked page above, you can also try to check the Bethesda Support X page. This page is dedicated to giving updates to players whenever there is a service outage or other issue for any of Bethesda’s games. Check here for any login issues that you suspect might be on the game’s side.
