Gaston needs some new hobbies that don’t involve talking about himself. We all know that he likes to be the center of attention but there must be something else. What can you teach him about Eternity Isle and Dreamlight Valley? There are plenty of activities to learn in the Gaston the Hero quest.

Disney Dreamlight Valley – Gaston the… Hero quest walkthrough
Gaston the Hero is Gaston’s level four friendship quest. Before you can complete this quest, you will need to complete the Center of Attention quest and raise his friendship level to level four. Once you have completed the prerequisites, talk to Gaston to start this quest.
Your first task is to take Gaston on a fishing tour around Eternity Isle and catch either a Piranha, Prisma Shrimp, or Electric Eel. Let’s break down where to find these creatures:
- Piranha – Obtained by fishing the orange ripples in The Lagoon section of the Wild Tangle
- Prisma Shrimp – Obtained by fishing the orange ripples in The Grove section of the Wild Tangle
- Electric Eel – Obtained by fishing the orange ripples in The Grasslands or the Promenade section of the Wild Tangle
Once you have one of these fish, bring it to Gaston. Keep in mind that you don’t need to catch all three for this part of the quest.
After this quest step, you will need to locate Compass Fragments near the water. This is done by using your Hourglass near the Docks, Oasis, and the Grasslands. There are no guaranteed spawn points for these items so just keep using your Hourglass in the areas until you find them. Once you have all the pieces, go to your Timebending Table and use them to create Gaston’s Repaired Compass.
Investigate the compass in your inventory to get an image of three locations. These locations are where the treasure is buried.
How to dig up treasure in Gaston the Hero
The three biomes in the image above each have treasure hidden in them. You can find the treasures in each of the following locations:

Bring the items to Gaston and talk to him about each of them. You will now be tasked with finding the owners of each item.
Who is the owner of each treasure in the Gaston the Hero quest?
Think about the items that you have; a brush, a climbing pick, and a light bulb. Each of these items has an owner somewhere in Dreamlight Valley or Eternity Isle. Return the items to the following residents:
- Mysterious Brush – Merlin
- Mysterious Climbing Pick – Scrooge McDuck
- Mysterious Light Bulb – EVE
Once all of the items have been returned to their rightful owners, the quest will be complete. Gaston will reward you with three plaques featuring the fish you caught at the start of the quest.
