What animals are there in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
There are eight different animals in Disney Dreamlight Valley that can be fed and befriended.
Each of the animals comes in slightly different colors, however, the way you approach them and which food they like is the same for all variants in a species.
The animals are:
- Squirrels
- Rabbits
- Sea Turtles
- Crocodiles
- Raccoons
- Foxes
- Ravens
- Sunbirds
Squirrels
Squirrels are one of the easiest animals to approach in Dreamlight Valley and don’t need any additional fussing in order to feed them.
They can be found in the Plaza and their favorite food is peanuts, which can be purchased from Chez Remy after completing the Remy’s Recipe Book quest.
Rabbits
In order to feed Rabbits they will need to be chased. They will approach you first and all you have to do is follow them a few times until they allow you to feed them.
They can be found in the Peaceful Meadows and their favorite food is, of course, carrots. Carrots can be grown yourself or purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Peaceful Meadow.
Sea Turtles
To feed Sea Turtles you will need to approach them and wait a few seconds for them to come out of their shell.
They can be found on Dazzle Beach and their favorite food is seaweed. Seaweed can be caught when fishing or picked up on the shore at Dazzle Beach or the Glade of Trust.
Crocodiles
If you want to feed the crocodiles in Dreamlight Valley you are going to need to be sneaky. Slowly walk towards the crocodile when it has its head down, and stand still when it looks up until you are able to feed it.
They can be found in the Glade of Trust and their favorite food is lobster. Lobster can be caught when fishing in the Glade of Trust.
Raccoons
Raccoons are very similar to crocodiles in how they need to be approached and they will run away if you run towards them. Approach the raccoon slowly while it is crouched down and stand still when it raises its head.
They can be found in the Forest of Valor and their favorite food is blueberries. Blueberries can be foraged from bushes on Dazzle Beach and in the Forest of Valor, and can be purchased from Goofy’s stall.
Foxes
Similarly to Rabbits, Foxes will need to be chased in order to feed them. They will approach you and all you have to do is follow them a few times until they let you approach.
They can be found in Frosted Heights and their favorite food is the White Sturgeon. White Sturgeons can be caught when fishing in the Frosted Heights.
Ravens
In order to feed Ravens you will need to allow them to circle you and come to a stop.
They can be found in the Forgotten Lands and their favorite food is a little bit different from the other animals as they love any five-star dish.
Sunbirds
Sunbirds are one of the trickiest critters to approach and feed in Disney Dreamlight Valley as they force players to stay focused and fast. They will probably dart quickly away from the player and need to be chased down until they eventually stop in order to feed them.
They can be found in the Sunlit Plateau and their favorite food depends on the variation.
- Emerald Sunbirds love green and yellow flowers.
- Golden Sunbirds love yellow and orange flowers.
- Orchid Sunbirds love pink and purple flowers.
- Red Sunbirds love blue and red flowers.
- Turquoise Sunbirds love green and pink flowers.
