Part of being a pirate in Skull and Bones is plundering enemy ships and stealing the cargo. In fact, the game encourages you to do this very act by rewarding you for it. Because of this, you might want to know how to board ships in Skull and Bones. Well, it isn’t as easy as it sounds. After all, ships are always on the move and they aren’t all easy to catch.

There are multiple benefits to raiding a ship out on the high seas. You will get more loot and more experience. Increase your infamy faster to be the greatest pirate the world has ever known. This guide will show you how to board ships in Skull and Bones.

How to board enemy ships in Skull and Bones

If you want to board an opposing ship in Skull and Bones, you need to start by draining its HP. Every ship has a health bar. To deplete this bar, you need to use your canons or some other type of weapon to destroy the ship.

Once a ship’s health bar is at about a third, get in close to it and you should see the prompt that reads “crew boarding.” Following this prompt will make your crew throw out some lines. If they connect to the opposing ship, your crew will begin the boarding process. This means that you will get a cutscene showing your crew jumping aboard the ship.

What is the benefit of boarding ships in Skull and Bones?

If you successfully board a ship, you will get bonus loot for doing so. You will normally get loot for destroying an enemy ship but boarding it will get you a small bonus. You will also get more items from a shipwreck cargo selection.

On top of these bonuses, it appears to us as though you get more infamy for boarding a ship rather than destroying it. This would make sense since you are acting a bit more like a pirate by stealing all the enemy’s cargo.
