Skull and Bones is the latest Ubisoft title to make its way to multiple systems. In total, this game is on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5. Thanks to this, many are wondering “Is Skull and Bones cross-platform?” After all, many would like to play with their friends across different consoles and not be tied down to one platform.

Cross-platform gaming has been on the rise for a while with many games receiving cross-platform updates. Because of this, the feature is more or less expected from larger studios whenever a new game is released on multiple systems. So is Skull and Bones cross-platform? Does the game also feature cross-progression?

Can you play Skull and Bones cross-platform?

Yes! Skull and Bones does feature cross-platform gameplay. This means that you and your friends won’t be tied down to one system should you get it on different platforms. To clarify, those who are playing on Xbox Series X/S will be able to play with those on PS5 or PC. The same can be said for those playing on PlayStation or PC.

This feature is present in the open beta that will be available on the weekend of February 8, 2024, and will be present when the full launch of the game happens. It is nice that Ubisoft added this feature for such a large online game.

Does Skull and Bones have cross-progression?

Yes! Skull and Bones also features cross-progression. This is a newer feature that not many titles have. Cross-progression allows you to play on any system and have your saved data carry over to another system. Using this feature, you can go from playing on PS5 to Xbox and keep all of your data. You will not need to worry about losing any of your hard-earned items, levels, or ships. This is another feature available in the beta as well so you won’t lose any of your beta progress should you switch systems during the full release.
