Stray Blade features a strong protagonist named Farren who is trying to escape a valley after getting stuck in an infinite loop of death. Like any proper action RPG, Stray Blade features character customization — though limited — that allows you to change up how Farren looks. If you get tired of seeing them in one outfit, change it up for another or swap out the colors. The choice is yours as to how you want Farren to look. The only downside is you can’t change their physical form. This guide will show you how to customize Farren in Stray Blade.
How to change Farren’s appearance in Stray Blade
While Stray Blade doesn’t offer the same level of customization as Dark Souls, it does give you the chance to change around Farren’s appearance to give them a fresh look. At the start of the game, you get to choose if Farren is a male or female. After this choice has been made, it can’t be changed. Later on, however, you can alter their appearance through the use of armor and colors. Starting with armor, you will get blueprints as you progress through the game.
The blueprints that you collect will be used to craft armor which can then be equipped onto Farren. Armor can be crafted at a forge whenever you run into one. If you want to customize the look of the armor, you will need to go to the customization menu. This is done by pressing the touchpad on PlayStation, the menu button on Xbox, or the I key on PC. Once in the menu, scroll over to where it says customization.
Once in this menu, you will be able to customize the look of Farren’s armor, helmet, shoulder pads, and sword. That’s right, even their sword can be customized. You can also follow the prompts at the bottom of the screen to select the primary, secondary, and tertiary colors.
