Metroidvania games are known for having large 2D maps that can be easy to get lost in. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown does a good job of making sure you don’t lose your way, but there is still a lot of ground you have to cover. Whether it is backtracking through areas to find secrets you passed by or continuing the main story, you will want to make use of the game’s fast travel system. Here is how to fast travel in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
How does fast travel work in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown?
When you first start Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, it will be quite a while before you can use fast travel. After about an hour and a half of game time, you might have reached the boss fight against Jahandar, the Manticore. Upon defeating him, you can continue on your path and find a Wak Wak Tree to save and heal yourself. Just after this is where you unlock your first fast travel point.
To the left of the Wak Wak Tree, you will see a destroyed statue with a time rift orb in front of it. Every time you are near these statues, your screen will take on a purple effect. Whenever you see these, strike the orb a few times, and the statue will fix itself. When it is fixed, just stand in front of it and interact with the statue to be taken to the map screen, where you can scroll through other statues you have fixed and teleport there.
After you fix the first statue, we recommend fast-traveling to The Haven in Lower City. This is where you met The Mage, and while you don’t need to fix a statue here, it is locked behind a gate that can only be opened when you fast travel to it.
Something to keep in mind is that every fast travel statue in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be located near a Wak Wak Tree. However, not every Wak Wak Tree in the game will have a fast travel statue near it.
