Dinraal is the mighty fire dragon of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While it seems big and foreboding, it is a peaceful creature you can jump on as you see it flying by. That said, you will probably want to do this whenever you can, as you can get powerful items from it. Here is how to get Dinraal’s Horn in Tears of the Kingdom.

Where is Dinraal in Tears of the Kingdom?

Dinraal is most often found flying around Death Mountain or the Deep Akkala region in the northeast corner of the map. We recommend using the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower or Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower to launch yourself up to it. You can also fast travel to a sky island and glide to it.

As you might expect from the fire dragon, being near this heat can be dangerous to Link. Be sure to have fire resistant armor on and unequip any wooden weapons.

How to get Dinraal’s Horn in Tears of the Kingdom

Once you have landed on Dinraal, make your way to the front of the fire dragon. When standing on its snout, strike either of its curved horns, and Dinraal’s Horn will drop for a few seconds. Grab it quickly, or it will fly off towards the ground and you will have to chase it. Also, run along Dinraal’s back to grab their shards near their spikes for more items.

You can only get one Dinraal’s Horn item at a time. Come back after a Blood Moon, and you should see his horns glowing again, showing that you can strike it again. We recommend fusing this into your favorite weapon for a boss fight. It adds 26 fuse power and flame damage to enemies. We cannot confirm this, but a Great Fairy may also want this for upgrading particular armor.
