If you want to activate all of the Lightroots in the Depths of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must take some odd routes. Unlike the Surface map, large walls block off sections of the Depths, making some areas hard to get to. The area below Hyrule Forest Park is this way, with a hidden-away chasm being hard to find. Here is how to get to the Apapes Lightroot in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to find the Apapes Lightroot in Tears of the Kingdom
To find the Hyrule Forest Park Chasm, you need to go to the water’s edge of this island to the southwest, across from Hyrule Castle. In the water in this corner is a cave you can enter. Be sure you paraglide into the cave or you will have to fight the current to get inside. Go further to find the Hyrule Castle Moat East Chasm to let you drop down into the Depths.

Once you find the chasm, locating the Apapes Lightroot isn’t too difficult. Turn directly north when you get into the lower area to see it. You will probably want to glide there before hitting the ground, as a Blue-White Frox sits directly below the chasm.
Outside of the Frox and the Lightroot, there is not much to see in this area of the Depths. With the Hyrule Forest Park Chasm leading to a sectioned-off area, it’s small and empty. Use it to get some Frox materials and maybe a little Zonaite, but don’t expect much from here.
