Sonic Rumble is coming this winter! Unfortunately, that is a long time to wait, but luckily, you could potentially get an early look at the upcoming mobile game. A hands-on closed beta playtest is taking place at the end of May, and there are limited spots. To give yourself a chance to get hands-on with the game before many others, you will want to sign up before the deadline. Here is how to sign up for the Sonic Rumble closed beta playtest.

How to register for the Sonic Rumble closed beta

To potentially take part in the Sonic Rumble closed beta playtest, you will first need to go to the official website for the game. When there, click the red button that says Apply to Beta Test Here. This page lets you know that the closed beta is available to iPhone and Android users. The deadline to register is May 19 with the beta happening the weekend of May 24-26.

Read through all the writing if you want, then scroll to the bottom and accept the various terms. Click Go to Application Form to load a new page. Input your birthdate in the form of Month/Day/Year, then enter the email address. iPhone users need to use an email that can use HTML, while Android need to use the same email they use to sign into the Google Play Store. Checkmark Agree and that you’re not a robot and finish the application.

If you are chosen to be in the Sonic Rumble closed beta playtest, you will receive an email before the beta letting you know. iPhone users will need to use the Testflight application if selected.

Unfortunately, the Sonic Rumble closed beta playtest is going to be pretty exclusive it seems. Only US players can participate, and we don’t know how many are going to be chosen from that pool. With the game not releasing until winter, we imagine there will be a more open playtest coming some time in the future, likely closer to release.
