Ancient Machines are one of the most useful tools in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Thanks to this, it is important to know how to use Ancient Machines so you can craft more food, improve your gardens, and collect more Mist. Of course, you won’t gain access to these new machines unless you have the Rift in Time expansion.

After starting the Rift in Time expansion, you get introduced to the mechanic known as Timebending. Using this, you can alter the world around you and collect Mist. Collecting Mist will then allow you to craft tons of additional items. This guide will show you how to use Ancient Machines in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to build Ancient Machines in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Ancient Machines are unlocked after you upgrade your Royal Hourglass. This will allow you to obtain Ancient Cores which are a key item needed to craft these machines. Once you have these, you just need to collect various other Timebending items and go to your Timebending Table.

Under the Ancient Machine tab at the Timebending Table, you can find the different machines that you can craft. Each machine requires different materials to craft such as Plates, Radiators, Belts, and Magnets. Keep this in mind when attempting to craft these items. Each machine requires at least 2,000 Mist to craft so you will need to save up this currency.

All Ancient Machines in Disney Dreamlight Valley and What They Do

There are three types of machines that you can build in Disney Dreamlight Valley: Ancient Cookers, Ancient Gardeners, and Ancient Vacuums. Each of these has different versions that increase its abilities. For instance, you can build a basic version of the cooker or a regular one. The regular one has better efficiency.

Let’s break down what each of these machines does to help your valley.

Ancient Cooker

The Ancient Cooker automatically cooks food for you. Place in the ingredients that you want to use and it will make the number of a specific food that you set up. This is useful for having food made while you complete other tasks around the valley.

Ancient Gardener

The Ancient Gardener will tend to your gardens and automatically plant seeds and collect crops. When you place an Ancient Gardener, it will show you what area it affects. After that, you can dig up the ground and place seeds in the Gardener. The machine will automatically plant these seeds and then harvest the plants when they are grown.

Ancient Vacuum

The most useful of the machines is the Ancient Vacuum. This tool automatically collects items in an area and turns them into Mist. This is great for when you have extra materials that you don’t need. You can easily turn them into Mist and use the currency to craft new items.
