Is Palworld free to play? This is a question that is getting asked a lot since Palworld is close to releasing in early access. This is because Steam games often don’t list a price until the day of release. Luckily, you don’t need to wait that long to find out what the price of Palworld is.

There are many questions being asked about the monster-catching survival title. For instance, you might also be wondering what starter Pals are in the game. You could also be curious as to if Palworld is multiplayer or not. So is Palworld free to play or do you have to spend money on it?

Can you play Palworld for free?

Unfortunately, Palworld is not a free to play game. You can, however, play the game for free. At least, somewhat free. Since Palworld will be on Xbox Game Pass on day one, you can technically play the game without paying extra for it. That is, as long as you are subscribed to Game Pass.

Palworld will also be available on PC Game Pass for those who only have the subscription service on PC. If you aren’t subscribed to Game Pass, you will need to pay for Palworld on the day of release. For now, there is no pre-ordering the game. On the day of release, Palworld will cost you $30. For now, you can wishlist the title on Steam for when it goes live on Friday, January 19, 2024.

While it is unfortunate that the game will cost money for some that the title won’t be free-to-play like many were hoping, it should help the developers push out continuous updates for the title. Plus, having a price on the game prevents the need for microtransactions that can muddy up the title.
